Oviedo Bolsters Attack with Signing of Romanian Forward Daniel Paraschiv
Oviedo has concluded the signing of 25-year-old Romanian forward Daniel Paraschiv, becoming the fourth new arrival at the club this transfer market. Paraschiv joins Oviedo to reinforce the forward line, having spent the entire last season with Hermannstadt, netting 11 goals in 41 appearances.
Paraschiv Brings Romanian Experience
A Romanian footballer through and through, Paraschiv has spent his entire career playing in Romania, previously representing clubs such as Cluj, Voluntari, Luceafarul, Viitorul Tg.Jiu, and Harman. He made his debut for the Romanian national team, appearing in a friendly match against Moldova in November 2022, scoring a goal on his debut.
Oviedo Seeks to Add Further Quality
With the signing of Paraschiv, Oviedo has bolstered their attack, joining the ranks of Alemao, Masca, Alex Millan, and Obeng. While Obeng returns to Oviedo having been on loan at Huesca, it seems unlikely that he will form part of the team’s plans for the upcoming academic year, despite still holding a valid contract.
Attacking Zone Remains Open for Business
While Oviedo has strengthened their attacking options, it seems that further arrivals may yet be on the horizon, although certain departures may be necessary to balance the books. The name of Álex Forés has been touted as a possible addition, but his current absence due to a fracture in the tibia, which will keep him sidelined until September, casts doubt over his involvement.
First Four Signings Confirmed
With Paraschiv the latest arrival at Oviedo, the club has signed a total of four new players ahead of the new season. Joining Paraschiv are goalkeeper Aaron Escandell, midfielders Kwasi Sibo and Alberto Del Moral, and goalkeeper-to-be Álvaro Lemos, who is expected to put pen to paper in the coming days, securing his move to the club next season.
