Osmar Olvera shines in Fukuoka; second silver and Paris 2024 in sight

Water sports continue to bring joy to the Mexican delegation. Osmar Olvera continues with the sweet streak in the pool and hung the silver medal in the 3-meter springboard and also secured his place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games a few days ago in the one-meter test.

Olvera, 19, obtained 507.50 units in the competition and was placed below the Chinese Zongyuan Wang who with 538.10 points took the first place medal. The podium was completed by Wang’s compatriot Daoyi Long with 499.75 points in an afternoon that painted red and yellow.

Another Mexican close to the elite

In addition to Olvera, Rodrigo Diego López was in fifth place by registering 439.80 points in the diving pit and he also got his ticket to the next year’s Olympic joust.

It should be noted that Osmar will be one of the strong cards for the Mexican delegation in Paris 2024 and in this World Championship he has two silver medals that have put him in the international eye.
