The departure of Osetkowski, in the absence of Barça paying his clause

There is little time left for Unicaja fans to bid farewell to Dylan Osetkowski, a player who has brought joy to the team’s supporters over the past two seasons. His departure is imminent, with just hours to go. The player’s representative, Misko Raznatovic, informed the club of Osetkowski’s decision to leave Los Guindos and join Barcelona in the Euroleague. Several European teams had contacted his representatives, with Efes being the most likely suitor.

Barcelona has already informed Unicaja that it will pay Osetkowski’s release clause. This situation is reminiscent of last summer’s deal with Darío Brizuela, where Barcelona paid a million euros for his clause, a significant amount in basketball, according to sports director Juanma Rodríguez.

Unicaja is waiting for the formalities to be completed before announcing Osetkowski’s departure, which is expected to cost around 800,000 euros. It appears that the team has a plan in place in the event that Dylan Osetkowski or Carter leave Carpena, with sports management director Ibon Navarro stating, “The problem is that a team comes and pays the clause, you can’t control this. I’m not worried about what happens, I’m worried about when it happens. If that happens now, then that’s it, market law and they take them away.”
