Orlando Bloom expressed gratitude for his family this Thanksgiving, following his separation from pop superstar Katy Perry. The actor, 48, shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, November 28.
"There’s a lot to be grateful for," Bloom wrote. He posted a photo with his two children, 14-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, and 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, whose mother is Perry.
The trio was seen smiling and embracing in front of a house, its driveway adorned with pumpkins. Bloom also shared subsequent images, including Daisy walking towards a beach and himself cuddling with a dog.
Us Weekly confirmed earlier this year that Bloom and Perry, 41, had ended their engagement. Their relationship spanned nine years, with Bloom proposing in 2019 and welcoming Daisy in 2020.
Sources indicated that despite the split, their relationship remained amicable. "Katy, of course, is sad, but she feels relieved not to have to go through another divorce," an insider told Us in June.
The former couple quickly focused on co-parenting their daughter. Representatives confirmed Bloom and Perry adjusted their relationship over several months to prioritize raising Daisy.
"They will continue to be seen together as a family," their joint statement read. Their shared goal is "raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect."
Bloom broke his silence on the separation during a September appearance on Today. He stated, "I’m great, brother. I’m very grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter."
The Pirates of the Caribbean star added, "We’re good and we’re going to be good. It’s just love."
Meanwhile, Katy Perry has moved on, reportedly with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The pair was first spotted together in July, enjoying a walk and dinner in Montreal.
By October, Us confirmed Perry and the politician were a couple. Sources noted they had chosen to keep their relationship private.
One source described their connection as "not serious" given Perry’s busy touring schedule. However, another source confirmed they "are still talking and are very interested in each other."
Perry hinted at a new romance during an October concert in Prague. She playfully told the audience she was "dating someone else" when jokingly asked about marriage.
Bloom has not been publicly linked to a new partner. He did, however, attract attention on Halloween by posing with actress Rachel Lynn Matthews, who was dressed as Perry in her Blue Origin space suit. Perry had flown to space with Blue Origin earlier this year.
