OPPO has launched its new flagship Pad 5 tablet in China, positioning it as a high-performance device with a premium display, including an anti-glare matte option, at competitive prices for the high-end market.
At its core, the Pad 5 features MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chip, built on 3nm TSMC technology. This processor achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 3.05 million, signaling robust performance for demanding applications.
The tablet boasts a 12.1-inch 3K LCD, offering a 144Hz variable refresh rate and 900 nits peak brightness. A notable variant includes a nano-etched matte screen. This surface reportedly reduces glare by 97% and enhances clarity by 22%. It has also earned TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification.
Users can configure the device with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. An advanced Tiangong cooling system, with a 39% larger heat dissipation area, manages thermal performance.
Running on ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, the Pad 5 supports up to five simultaneous windows. It also features advanced cross-device file sharing and integrates specialized tools aimed at education and productivity.
A substantial 10,420 mAh battery powers the device. It is paired with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. OPPO claims a 10-minute charge can provide up to 10 hours of video playback.
The tablet supports Wi-Fi 7 and advanced Bluetooth codecs. It maintains a slim profile, measuring 5.99mm thin and weighing 577 grams for the matte version. The rear camera is an 8-megapixel sensor, capable of recording 4K video at 30 frames per second with electronic image stabilization.
The OPPO Pad 5 starts at approximately $356 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The premium 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration is priced around $493. Matte screen variants carry a slight premium.
Sales are set to begin in China on October 25, 2025. Available colors include Lucky Purple, Galaxy Silver, and Deep Space Gray. Optional accessories, such as the Smart Touch Keyboard, Oppo Pencil 2 Pro, and Smart Protective Case, are sold separately for approximately $96, $68, and $27, respectively.
