Google is expected to make the final and stable version of Android 12 available during the month of September. Then some manufacturers, in partnership with Google, will provide new versions of their user interfaces. In this restricted group we find OPPO with its ColorOS 12 interface whose first test builds (beta) are already on the horizon.
In fact, we now see OPPO advertising and unveiling its next big update to the user interface, the ColorOS 12 version. This will be the next iteration, based on Google’s Android 12 and one of the most anticipated updates by its users. So we can see the first puzzle released by the Chinese manufacturer.
OPPO presents a preview of its next big update, ColorOS 12
The first official reference to OPPO’s ColorOS 12 was shared today on the Chinese social network. Weibo. There we see the image above, as well as a small description that sends us to the launch of more details tomorrow (September 7).
In light of the above, in addition to taking into account the previous information leaks, we believe that the announcement will be made on September 13, with more details to follow. We remind you that, last year, the Chinese manufacturer dedicated its own presentation event for the launch of Color OS 11, based on Android 11, through the stable channel.
That said, we believe the same will happen this year. If this is confirmed, Google may officially make Android 12 available until 13. Therefore, OPPO should announce its new UI iteration on that date.
ColorOS 12 will be officially announced on September 13

Currently we have little information about the list of new features that will be present in ColorOS 12. However, based on information leaks, the presence of the Cross Screen Interconnection functionality is pointed out, very similar to what we see in the interface of Huawei, dubbed there as multi-screen collaboration. It is, in short, a reinforcement for the multitask.
In addition, the Asian manufacturer should implement some changes in the design language and the general appearance of its interface. According to rumors, we will have some design elements inspired by MIUI, FlymeOS, Smartisan OS from Xiaomi, as well as HydrogenOS from OnePlus.
In short, the overall design of the next version of this user interface will be guided not only by Android 12, but also by software from other Chinese manufacturers.
ColorOS 12 will bring more functions to OPPO’s Android smartphones

Software updates are an increasingly important topic in global markets. In fact, in Europe there is already a demand for EU legislation that requires manufacturers to provide up to 7 years of security updates.
It is also worth noting that this version of the interface will not be limited to OPPO smartphones. That is, it will also be present in the OnePlus and Realme smartphones marketed in China. Outside of their home country, these brands will keep their OxygenOS and Realme UI, respectively.
Finally, pointing out the obvious, the Realme interface, the Realme user interface, is nothing more than ColorOS with a few changes. This is because OPPO is the parent company of OnePlus and Realme.
As a final note, we are now awaiting the reveal of more information on ColorOS 12. More specifically, the arrival dates, as well as the list of new features that will be present in this iteration.
