As the tech world eagerly awaits the arrival of OPPO’s latest flagship series, a key detail has been revealed about the camera capabilities of the upcoming Find X8 Ultra. Zhou Yibao, the product manager for OPPO’s Find series, has officially showcased the smartphone’s image sensors, providing a glimpse into the device’s impressive photography features. Set to launch in April 2025, the Find X8 Ultra is poised to become a top contender in the premium smartphone market, with a strong focus on photography.
The camera system consists of several high-quality sensors, each designed to deliver exceptional image quality. At the top, the Sony IMX906 sensor enables 3x telephoto zoom, while the middle-right sensor, the Sony IMX882, boasts a 50-megapixel resolution and supports 6x optical zoom via a periscope lens. The middle-left sensor, the Sony LYT-900, is expected to be the primary camera, featuring a 50-megapixel resolution and a 1-inch size. Rounding out the lineup is the Sony IMX882 ultra-wide-angle sensor, also with a 50-megapixel resolution, located at the bottom.
In addition to these sensors, a new sensor is situated at the bottom-right, which helps capture more accurate color and skin tone details, particularly in low-light environments. This sensor is designed to enhance the overall photography experience, allowing users to take stunning images in a variety of conditions.
OPPO is set to unveil the Find X8 Ultra, along with the Find X8 Next and the more affordable Find X8s, in April 2025. However, it’s worth noting that the devices are expected to be available only in China, at least initially. As the launch date approaches, tech enthusiasts and photography enthusiasts alike are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to get their hands on these devices and experience their cutting-edge camera capabilities.
