OPPO just pulled back the curtain on its A6 Pro, and this phone is built like a tank. It’s one of the toughest smartphones you can buy today. The device boasts impressive IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings. This means it can handle being underwater 1.5 meters deep for over 30 minutes. It also resists high-pressure water streams up to 80 degrees Celsius. Plus, you can even use it with wet fingers without any issues.
The A6 Pro isn’t just tough on the inside. Its frame is made from aircraft-grade aluminum, a super strong material. OPPO also added Crystal Shield glass to the screen. This special glass makes the phone 160% better at handling drops compared to older models. OPPO claims the A6 Pro can survive a fall from 2.5 meters. It also withstands continuous drops from 1.5 meters. For everyday bumps, it can take 1,830 drops from half a meter.
OPPO didn’t stop there; they also focused on better connectivity. The A6 Pro features a new Shanhai RF Antenna system. These antennas are placed all around the phone’s frame. They improve low-frequency signal transmission by 200%. This also means better overall signal reception. The phone even has smart software that switches networks if your current one gets slow.
Under the hood, the OPPO A6 Pro runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. This chip is built using a 4-nanometer process. It can reach speeds of up to 2.5 GHz, making tasks smooth and quick. The phone pairs this powerful chip with fast LPDDR4X RAM, available up to 16 GB. You can also get up to 512 GB of storage, plenty for all your apps and files.
One of the A6 Pro’s standout features is its massive 7,000 mAh battery. This huge battery supports 80 W fast charging, so you get power quickly. It’s also designed to last, keeping at least 80% of its capacity after 1,830 charging cycles. Even in freezing conditions, the phone can charge in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius.
The display on the OPPO A6 Pro is a vibrant 6.57-inch OLED panel. It offers a sharp resolution of 2,372 x 1,080 pixels. Gamers and general users will enjoy the smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen also gets super bright, reaching up to 1,400 Nits. For selfies, there’s a 16 MP front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
Around the back, the main camera boasts 50 MP with an f/1.8 lens. It works with a 2 MP depth sensor to help capture detailed shots.
The OPPO A6 Pro is set to launch in China on September 12, 2025. It will come in three appealing colors: Gold, Blue, and Black Jade.
