Colombian influencer Aida Cortés has confirmed her definitive departure from OnlyFans, leaving behind a highly lucrative career on the adult content platform. The 29-year-old, a native of Bucaramanga, was once among the most sought-after stars on the service.
Cortés earned more than $120,000 USD from her content. Despite significant financial success, she cited a decline in personal fulfillment as her primary reason for leaving.
"Money means nothing if you’re not doing what you love," Cortés stated in an interview with El Espectador. This sentiment summarized a prolonged internal process where her priorities shifted.
She also described the pressure to constantly satisfy her audience. "When I said no, the drop (in users) was immediately felt, because those who were not pleased would leave," she commented in an interview broadcast by Caracol TV’s ‘La Red’.
Her OnlyFans account remains active, promoting previously published content. However, Cortés has not offered new photos or videos for over a year.
Cortés publicly announced her retirement in a post on October 31 of last year. "I’m definitely leaving OnlyFans. I haven’t created content for seven months. Everyone has the right to live their processes," she wrote.
She added, "Many tell me: ‘What about all the money you earned there?’ Well, I don’t care… I no longer want to make adult content. We all have the right to make decisions."
Cortés has since dedicated herself entirely to building a music career, a path she describes as her true passion. This pursuit is a significant departure from her previous work.
In recent months, she attended a creative camp where she composed more than 25 songs. She is committed to investing in her music strategically.
"I can’t just arrive and say I’m going to invest what I earned on OnlyFans into music, no," she explained. "I have other ways of proceeding, for example, I do musical campaigns for artists, because I love marketing."
Cortés is not new to creative expression. She previously published two books, ‘La vida de una modelo Webcam’ and ‘Sexting’, detailing personal experiences within the industry.
Currently, music is her main priority. "I’m about to complete a year fully dedicated to music, and I feel it has been a space to learn so much," she shared in an interview. "You think being an artist is just singing and that’s it, but everything behind it is huge."
Cortés is pursuing creative fulfillment, even if it means foregoing the millionaire earnings she once obtained.
