OnePlus is today a company with a wide portfolio, which is no longer focused only on developing the best of the range at affordable prices. Soon its range of offerings will be expanded with the introduction of a new line of smartwatches.
The news is advanced by the publication 91 Móviles, which received exclusive information from filter Yogesh Brar. This points to the launch of a new smartwatch by OnePlus under the Nord label.
OnePlus Nord Watch will be the brand’s next affordable watch
OnePlus’ next smartwatch will follow the strategy of the phones launched in the Nord line. That is, products with the essential features for the user at very affordable prices.
It is not yet known what this new product will be called, but the OnePlus Nord Watch is a strong possibility. Its reveal will take place in India, alongside the OnePlus Nord 3, sometime during the second half of 2022.
Yogesh Brar claims that OnePlus’ next smartwatch will be announced at prices below the equivalent of €118. That is to say, it will be a proposal to combat the most affordable Xiaomi models, for example, with enormous success in the technology market.
Despite the cheap price, the essential characteristics of this type of product are expected. Indeed, the hypothetical OnePlus Nord Watch will have a color screen, heart rate sensor, SpO2, step and calorie counter, as well as the usual monitoring of a wide range of sports.
This news comes after rumors that OnePlus is preparing to launch wireless headphones also under the Nord brand. This means that the Nord name will house much more than entry-level and mid-range smartphones.
