In fact, the company has already released Early Access builds for select models. That’s not all, recently, the brand even revealed when these devices will receive stable versions next year. A month later, the CEO of the company reaffirms the same schedule.
From now on, the OnePlus released the ColorOS 11 Early Access Update for the OnePlus 8, OR OnePlus 8 Pro is he OnePlus 8T. These smartphones received the builds in May.
Two months later, in July, Jia Lan Shuai, Community Manager of OnePlus Community China, revealed that the trio will receive the stable update of ColorOS in 2022. Interestingly, he did not mention the version of ColorOS.
This suggests that these devices will be upgraded directly to the next Colors 12 next year. Also, this may be the reason why the brand hasn’t released early access versions of ColorOS 11 for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro. These remaining four devices will likely receive a direct update to the Colors 12 of the HydrogenOS 11 some time later, in 2022.
Phone Users OnePlus Eligible people have been asking about the stable update of the ColorOS on social media since the Early Access builds were released.
Yesterday, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, hyped the series OnePlus 9 on Weibo sharing some camera samples. One of the users commented on this post asking when OnePus 8T you will receive the stable update of ColorOS. In response to this comment, the brand’s top executive reiterated that it will receive the update according to the previously shared schedule, which is in 2022.
Unsurprisingly, we also see a lot of criticism about the slower launch of ColorOS. We also consider the OnePlus quite slow in this sense, since it has been delaying the sending of updates since the OxygenOS lately.
