On the issue of Afghanistan, the Turkish President shook the international community

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the international community cannot turn its back on the Afghan people and leave them to their own devices.

According to Turkish media, President Erdoانan attended the G20 Emergency Summit on Afghanistan via video conference and spoke on the occasion.

President Erdogan said the international community could not afford to turn its back on the Afghan people and leave them to their own devices. Lasting peace in Afghanistan is essential for world peace.

“We must help the Taliban establish a coalition government in Afghanistan. The international community has no comfort in turning its back on the Afghan people and leaving the country at its mercy,” he said.

Tayyip Erdogan said that the situation in Afghanistan is increasing the risk of displacement. Turkey is hosting 5 million refugees, of which 3.6 million are Syrian refugees. We cannot bear the burden of Afghan refugees.
