Popular comedian Kunal Kamra is back in the headlines. Kunal Kamra was about to have a show at Gurugram, against which the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal protested. Due to this, this Kunal show was cancelled. Kunal Kamra’s statement on this matter has come out. VHP and Bajrang Dal are known to allege that Kunal mocks Hindu gods and goddesses on his show.
Following the cancellation of the show, Kunal Kamra has issued a statement. Kunal Kamra wrote on his official Twitter account that: I have not prefixed your name (VHP) with Hindu because I do not believe that the Hindus of the world have given you the contract of their religion. You got my show canceled because of threats, but when have I ever done that thing about insulting Hinduism? If there is any clip or sample of that then please show me. I’m just making fun of the government and if you have any objection to that too, it’s not my fault. But where did the Hindu come from in this? I do not consider it necessary to give a proof of the relationship between God and me. I can say Jai Shri Sita Ram and Jai Radha Krishna. But if you send Godse murdabad in writing, then I will know.
