On getting the IPL digital rights to Viacom18, Nita Ambani said: The league must be brought to cricket lovers.

Following the IPL media rights auction, Reliance Industries Limited Director Nita Ambani said “Our mission is to bring the IPL to cricket fans in all parts of the world.” The auction process for all categories for the 2023 to 2027 IPL cycle has been completed. This time, the BCCI had decided to sell the media rights in four groups. The first group was for television media rights in India and an offer of Rs 23,575 crore was made for this. The second group was for streaming rights on the OTT platform and an offer of Rs 20,500 crore was made for this. The third group was for a special category match for which an offer of Rs 3,258 million was received, while the fourth group was for overseas broadcasting rights for which an offer of Rs 1,057 million was received.

The BCCI has earned Rs 48.39 billion through the auction of media rights. The television and digital rights have been transferred to different companies. Star Sports has won the IPL TV and Viacom18 Group has won the digital rights. On the other hand, Viacom18 Special Category Rights and Viacom18 and Times Internet have bought foreign media rights.
