Oman’s important decisions regarding the arrival of foreigners

The Sultanate of Oman has declared two doses of corona vaccine mandatory for the entry of foreigners.

The committee studied the COVID-19 epidemic situation locally and internationally in the light of the latest data, which is emerging in the form of confirmed lab cases in many countries of the world, including the Sultanate of Oman.

The committee took note of the incidents of non-compliance with the precautionary measures approved by the concerned authorities. In the meeting, the committee after analyzing the situation has made some important decisions which will be implemented till January 31, 2022.

First of all, the two-dose corona vaccine requirement has been made mandatory for foreigners coming to the kingdom from all checkpoints (entry routes). Non-Omani people over the age of 18 will be subject to this condition.

Secondly, entry to Oman is allowed only for those passengers who will show a negative PCR test issued within a maximum of 72 hours.

Third, the committee overturned a decision barring visitors from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Iswatini and Mozambique.
