The Sultanate of Oman announced the opening of maritime, land and air borders from September 1.
According to Gulf media, the announcement was made by infectious disease specialist Dr Saif al-Abri at a press conference organized by the Supreme Committee.
He said that from September 1 next month, the country’s maritime, land and air borders would be reopened as per the conditions imposed by the Supreme Committee.
Dr Saif said that from May 1, all government institutions and offices would be run with 100 per cent attendance, but social and cultural activities would be allowed to open after review.
Oman has allowed travelers from other countries, including Pakistan, to enter the country. An order has been issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Oman, according to which all Omani citizens and travelers with visas can come to Oman.
Passengers arriving in Oman must show Corona Vaccination Certificate. Corona PCR test is required 96 hours before departure to Oman.
According to the order, passengers on transit flights will be required to have a corona test 96 hours in advance, while passengers with a negative corona report will not have to be quarantined.
Passengers arriving in Oman will have a Rapid PC Artist at the airport. Passengers will have to stay in the quarantine center for 10 days upon receiving a positive report.
The order states that travelers and diplomats must provide details online before arriving in Oman. Passengers 18 years of age or younger will be exempt from corona vaccination and PCR tests.
According to Oman aviation officials, patients will be exempt from the corona vaccine, while the new order will take effect on September 1.
