The French legend has not yet returned to the bench and Olympique de Marseille want Zidane to coach their city club
The French national team has been Zidane’s goal since he left Madrid to return to training. Instead, Didier Deschamps enjoys the trust of the President of the Federation and it doesn’t appear to have an expiration date. After France’s elimination at the last Euro 2020 against Switzerland, the French legend was the main candidate. But it was not like that. Olympique de Marseille would like to get the legendary number 10 to join their bench.
It is not the first time that Zidane has been linked to the city where he was born. He always had good words for the team he was a fan of as a child. However, the two paths never crossed.. Olympique de Marseille believe it is time for Deschamps to remain coach after almost crowning France again at the last World Cup in Qatar in 2022.
Zidane welcomes Olympique de Marseille’s option
Zidane is the first option to become the next coach. On the other hand, the results do not give him the opportunity to sit on the French bench. The French federation does not believe that it is time to change the cycle after finishing second in the World Cup. Therefore, the focus is on “Zizou” once again focused on training a team and Olympique de Marseille offers him what the coach demands.
