Pedro Acosta dominated the free practice session at the Malaysian Grand Prix, setting a blistering pace as contenders jostle for crucial qualifying positions ahead of the penultimate MotoGP event.
Acosta recorded the fastest lap of 1 minute, 57.559 seconds. He was closely followed by Johann Zarco and Jack Miller.
Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira, Miller’s teammate at Prima Pramac, finished the session in 18th place. This result means Oliveira must compete in the Q1 qualifying round.
Only two riders from Q1 will advance to the final Q2 session, intensifying the competition for a strong grid position.
