Shohei Ohtani’s Angels had a ball feast this Saturday with four home runs in their splendid comeback against the Houston Astros while Dominican Manny Machado also left his mark in the Major Leagues with the 300th homer of his career.
ANGELS 13-12 ASTROS
The Angels trailed 9-12 in the ninth when Ohtani’s home run led off a fantastic four-run inning that turned the game around.
The Japanese genius, with his 33rd home run of the season, sent the ball out of the park as did teammates Mike Moustakas, Luis Rengifo and Zach Neto.
Cuban José Abreu homered for the Astros.
PHILIES 6-4 PARENTS
FILIS 9-4 PADRES (doubleheader)
Machado could not celebrate his 300th home run in the major leagues one hundred percent since the San Diego Padres lost their two games this Saturday in Philadelphia against the Phillies.
Only six Dominicans, now including Machado, have managed to reach 300 home runs.
REAL 1-6 RAYS
ROYALS 2-4 RAYS (double matchup)
The Dominican José Siri gave a recital with two home runs in the first game of the doubleheader and the Tampa Bay Rays imposed their law twice on the Royals in Kansas City.
His compatriot Francisco Mejía joined the Siri party with another hit out of the park.
