Ohio Police fired dozens of times at African-American Jayland Walker, according to attorney

The lawyer for African-American Jayland Walker, Bobby DiCello, stated this Saturday that the Ohio Police would have shot at least 60 times against the victim according to the images from the Police Corps cameras.

DiCello has assured that "worries" how will people react to seeing the "brutal" Police video showing the young black man fleeing from the agents, according to the local newspaper ‘Akron Beacon Journal’.

"Based on our investigation, we are currently getting details that suggest between 60 and 80 injuries."the lawyer has commented, before explaining that the count of wounds is complicated because some bullets can cause multiple wounds.

Walker’s lawyer has described the events according to the video to which he has had access and which will be made public this Sunday. "The officer gets out of his car and you see Jayland running (…). He’s out there running through the parking lot and within seconds (you hear) a hail of gunshots".

"You see smoke… and you see an officer actually drop his clip and reload. I think the shot happens in about six seconds. It was an unbelievable amount of shots"has added.

For their part, the citizens of Akron have gathered this Saturday to protest the shooting that ended Walker’s life. "It almost looks like target practice, an execution"declared Stacey Jenkins, pastor of the Community Church, according to the aforementioned newspaper.

Walker died Monday after a brief car chase in the city of Akron, in the state of Ohio, after being stopped for a traffic violation. The family has requested "peace and understanding" after the events, while politicians in the region have conveyed condolences to relatives and have demanded a transparent investigation "as soon as possible".
