Ogier Triumphs in Águeda-Sever, Narrows Gap to Tanak in Portugal Rally

Sébastien Ogier is closing in on Ott Tänak, the current leader of the Portugal Rally, after dominating the 10.08km Águeda-Sever special stage with a time of 6:10.8 minutes. Ogier cut Tänak’s lead to just 5.8 seconds, gaining 1.1 seconds on the Estonian driver. Thierry Neuville finished third in the stage, 1.4 seconds behind Ogier, and remains fifth overall, 26.7 seconds adrift of Tänak. Kalle Rovanperä was fourth on the stage, 3.4 seconds off Ogier’s pace, and holds the same position in the overall standings, 18.5 seconds behind Tänak.

Overall Standings

The top three positions remain unchanged, with Tänak holding a 14.2-second lead over Takamoto Katsuta, who dropped time in the Águeda-Sever stage, finishing sixth, 6.6 seconds behind Ogier. The final stage of the day, SS11 Sever-Albergaria (20.24km), is still up for grabs.
