Official protest of Barcelona for the arbitrations in the League

At Barça they are not happy with how things are going in the domestic competition. After ten days of the Endesa League, the azulgrana team has already conceded three defeats, which is added to the final lost in the Super Cup, against Real Madrid. In the standings, Lenovo Tenrife is the intractable leader (9-1) followed by Madrid (8-2) and a batch of teams at 7-3 with Unicaja, Barça, Gran Canaria and Baskonia.

Barça lost on the first day, on the Gran Canaria track. And he has fallen in his last two outings, after chaining six wins, in Badalona and Santiago. The three defeats, always at home, have been by the minimum and in the final moments: 88-85, 82-79 and 76-74. In the Barcelona team they are not entirely satisfied with his performance… but neither are they with the arbitrations he is receiving. And, according to journalist Marc Mundet (RAC1) has announced that the club has filed a protest with the ACB. “Barça presents a formal complaint to the ACB for the arbitrations it is receiving this season. Last week, he sent a detailed report that included from the Super Cup until now. In it, the section recorded the discomfort it feels with this matter.

The trigger, apparently and according to Ernst Maciá (Catalonia Radio), was the Catalan derby in Badalona, against Joventut, in which the Barça team received three techniques and Nicolás Laprovittola ended up sent off. Mundet assures that Barça has confirmed the sending of this report but also that from the Barcelona club they do not want to use it as a way to divert attention after the last defeats: “Club sources confirm this information but make it very clear that the report is not intended to divert attention from the three defeats that the team has accumulated in the League. What’s more, full responsibility is assumed in the matches that have been lost”.
