Official: Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix Contract Extended Through 2035

Official: Formula 1 will race in Monaco until 2035

The iconic Monaco Grand Prix will keep its prized spot on the Formula 1 calendar for years to come. F1 officially announced on Friday that the race will continue through 2035. This news came via a brief social media post. The organization decided to add four more years to its current agreement. This deal with the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) was set to expire in 2031. This extension ensures the vitality of one of motorsport’s most legendary circuits and events.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali shared his satisfaction. He said, “The streets of Monaco have echoed with the sound of Formula 1 since the sport’s very beginnings. I am pleased to announce this event will continue until 2035. It is an iconic race, loved by both drivers and fans. It has a unique atmosphere, thanks to its setting in the world’s most glamorous Principality. I want to especially thank His Serene Highness, Prince Albert II of Monaco, Michel Boeri, and all teams involved for ensuring this historic partnership continues.” Domenicali’s comments were shared on both the official F1 website and the ACM’s page.

Michel Boeri, who leads the ACM, also praised the dedication involved. He stated, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco for his continuous support. I also thank Stefano Domenicali for his renewed trust. The Automobile Club de Monaco is very pleased with this four-year renewal. It extends our commitment until 2035. This agreement reaffirms our promise to keep offering an exceptional race weekend. It is unique in the world, and we will keep the Monaco Grand Prix as a must-attend event on the international calendar.”

It’s worth remembering that the Monaco Grand Prix has been an F1 fixture since the very first season in 1950. This long-standing tradition continues. This exciting news arrives as Formula 1 heads to Monza, Italy, this weekend. That race marks the 16th round of this year’s World Championship.
