Odisha FC goalkeeper Kamaljeet Singh tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the team’s match against Kerala Blasters here on Wednesday in another blow to the biologically safe environment of the Indian Super League (ISL).

A source familiar with this told PTI here: “Kamaljeet has tested positive, but the match will proceed as scheduled as other players on the team have tested negative. Our reserve goalkeeper (Arshdeep Singh) is ready to play.” .

The source also said that Kamaljeet began to show symptoms and was immediately isolated. Odisha FC’s previous match against ATK Mohun Bagan on Saturday was also postponed after a player from the opposing team tested positive for the harsh ‘bio-bubble’ in Goa, the tournament’s first official COVID-19 positive case.
