Spanish left-back Rafa Obrador, out of favor with club coach José Mourinho, played a full match and impressed for the nation’s U21 squad in their dominant 7-0 victory over San Marino in a European Championship qualifier.
Obrador completed all 90 minutes, showcasing his talent on the left flank for the Spanish team. His active performance included strong understanding with teammate Virgili, who scored twice in the match.
The victory marked Spain U21’s fourth consecutive win in as many games in the qualification rounds for the 2027 European Championship.
Sporting’s Iván Fresneda also played the entire 90 minutes at right-back in the commanding performance.
The match, held in Lugo, saw Spain’s U21 team, coached by David Gordo, take control from the start.
Goals were scored by Virgili (19th, 40th minutes), Miguel Carvalho (45th), Iker Bravo (67th), Marc Guiu (76th), Jesús Rodríguez (79th), and Pablo García (87th).
