NVIDIA’s First Industrial AI Cloud to Boost BMW and Mercedes Technology

NVIDIA is gearing up to take the industrial world by storm. The tech giant’s CEO, Jensen Huang, just announced plans to build its first cloud platform for artificial intelligence (AI) in Germany. This platform will combine AI and robotics to supercharge manufacturing processes.

Companies like BMW and Mercedes will be able to use this tech to simulate product designs, manage logistics, and more. The goal is to make European factories more efficient and competitive.

Here are the key points from Huang’s announcement:

  • Expand technology centers in 7 countries
  • Open up NVIDIA’s computing market to European companies
  • Help creators of AI models in multiple languages become more advanced
  • Collaborate with companies like Novo Nordisk to discover new medicines

At the VivaTech conference in Paris, Huang said NVIDIA will increase Europe’s AI computing power by 10 times in just two years. He also announced plans for 20 AI factories in Europe, emphasizing that “sovereign AI is imperative; no company, industry, or nation can outsource its intelligence.”

The EU has been slow to adopt AI, but things are changing. In March, the European Commission announced plans to invest $20 billion in building four AI factories. NVIDIA’s new cloud platform is a major step forward for European manufacturing.

NVIDIA is taking AI to the next level

As Huang put it, “Europe has now awakened to the importance of AI factories and infrastructure.” With NVIDIA leading the charge, we can expect to see some exciting developments in the world of industrial AI.
