NVIDIA CEO Praises Nintendo Switch 2’s Advanced Graphics Capabilities

NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, just made a bold claim about the Nintendo Switch 2. He says it has the most advanced graphics ever seen in a mobile device. This is according to a report by Tom’s Hardware.

The new Switch chip combines three major tech advances: advanced graphics with complete ray tracing hardware, high dynamic range (HDR) for better contrast, and an architecture that ensures compatibility with older versions.

What about AI in the Switch 2?

The Switch 2 also features dedicated AI processors that enhance and animate gameplay in real-time. It uses DLSS tech, which improves graphics performance using AI.

Here are the Switch 2’s specs:

  • 8-core ARM Cortex A78C CPU
  • GPU based on NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture
  • 12 GB of LPDDR5X memory
  • 256 GB of internal storage, with support for up to 2 TB microSD Express cards

Jensen Huang also paid tribute to former Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, saying his vision for a powerful and portable console inspired the original Switch and continues to influence the NVIDIA-Nintendo partnership.
