During her college days, she worked on various projects to support herself. Her first film was ‘Jai Mata Santoshi’, which marked her entry into the industry.
The actress has been to numerous temples, gurudwaras, and churches. She revealed that her aunt, who follows a different faith, took her to a church where she performed nine Novenas. Nusrat Bharucha said, “I’ve visited many temples, many gurudwaras, and several churches. I don’t even know how many Novenas I’ve done.”
Nusrat Bharucha has also observed the vrat of Santoshi Mata for 16 Fridays. She visited Kedarnath and Vaishno Devi, undertaking the 13-kilometer trek on foot. She also visited Badri Nath to seek blessings and feel the energy of the place.
She believes in numerology and changed her name’s spelling in 2020. Since then, she has appeared in nine films. Nusrat Bharucha also performs Namaz, finding solace in the practice.
Nusrat Bharucha visits various religious places based on her inner calling. She doesn’t bother about what others think. She said, “People troll me, but it doesn’t bother me. I’ll visit temples and perform Namaz because that’s what I believe in.”
