Nuclear talks between Russia and the US have been postponed

Talks between Russia and the US regarding nuclear weapons scheduled for this week in Egypt have been postponed.

According to foreign media, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the American Embassy have reported the postponement of these talks in separate statements.

The US Ministry said that the previously scheduled meeting of the Bilateral Consultative Commission under the US-Russia New Start Agreement in Cairo has been postponed.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that bilateral relations between the US and Russia are currently at their lowest level since the Cold War.

It should be noted that the officials of the two countries were scheduled to meet in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, from November 29 to December 6 to discuss the resumption of inspections under the New Start Treaty on the Reduction of Nuclear Weapons.
