nubia, a smartphone brand under China’s ZTE, has unveiled its RedMagic 11 Pro series, introducing two flagship gaming smartphones packed with cutting-edge processors, advanced cooling, and high-refresh-rate displays aimed at professional mobile gamers.
Both the RedMagic 11 Pro and RedMagic 11 Pro+ feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This processor is manufactured using 3-nanometer technology and is capable of speeds up to 4.60 GHz, positioning it as one of the fastest in the current smartphone industry.
To manage the intense heat generated by high-performance gaming, both models include an active cooling fan. The premium RedMagic 11 Pro+ further enhances thermal management with an integrated liquid cooling system.
The devices boast a BOE AMOLED X10 display with 1.5K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluid visuals. A Synaptics chip enables an ultra-responsive 3,000 Hz touch sampling rate for single touches and 360 Hz for multi-touch inputs. Gaming is also enhanced by shoulder triggers, responding at 520 Hz.
The RedMagic 11 Pro is equipped with a substantial 8,000 mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging. It is offered in “Dark Knight” and “Silver Winged War God” color options.
Pricing for the RedMagic 11 Pro starts at approximately $690 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant. A 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration is available for around $786.
The RedMagic 11 Pro+ model, while featuring a slightly smaller 7,500 mAh battery, supports faster 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. This model also incorporates the advanced liquid cooling.
The RedMagic 11 Pro+ is available in “Dark Knight,” “Transparent Silver Wing,” and “Transparent Dark Knight” finishes. Prices begin at about $786 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version. A 16GB RAM and 512GB storage option costs around $897, while the top-tier 24GB RAM and 1TB storage model is priced at approximately $1,062.
Both smartphones share other high-end specifications, including a 3D ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor and a screen-to-body ratio of 95.3% with slim 1.25mm bezels. They house a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 16-megapixel under-display selfie camera.
Further shared features include up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The devices run on RedMagic OS 11, based on Android 16, and incorporate several AI features. They also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, NFC, three microphones, and stereo speakers. The phones are 8.9mm thin, weigh 230 grams, and carry an IPX8 rating, allowing submersion in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.
