NRG Secures Historic First VALORANT Champions Paris 2025 Title

The biggest VALORANT tournament of the year, Champions Paris 2025, just crowned a new champion. On Sunday, October 5, NRG fought hard against Fnatic in the grand final, pulling off a stunning win. This victory wasn’t just another trophy; it marked the first time NRG had ever reached the final match, let alone won the whole competition.

The series was a nail-biter, played in a best-of-five format. Fans watched on the edge of their seats as the battle stretched to the fifth and final map. NRG started strong, grabbing early wins. They took the map Corrode with a decisive 13-3 score. Then, they continued their streak on Lotus, winning 13-6. It looked like a quick sweep, but Fnatic was not ready to quit.

Fnatic roared back in the next two games, proving their mettle. They turned the tables on Lotus, pushing through to a 15-13 victory. They followed this up by taking Ascent 13-8. With the score tied, everything came down to the last map, Sunset. That’s where Ethan “Ethan” Arnold’s team pulled out all the stops, dominating 13-5 to secure the championship. They were officially crowned the VALORANT Champions Paris 2025 winners.

This win means so much more to NRG because it’s their first Champions trophy. It’s also the first time the American squad has even played in the final of this major event. While they did compete in VALORANT Champions 2023, their run was cut short with an early exit. This year’s triumph truly feels like a breakthrough for the team.

The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for VALORANT Champions Paris 2025 went to Brock “brawk” Somerhalder. The 25-year-old player joined NRG in February 2025. Before making his mark with NRG, Somerhalder played for several other notable teams. His career included stints with Shopify Rebellion Black, Moist x Shopify Rebellion, Moist Moguls, BreakThru, Ghost Gaming, Complexity Gaming, OTW Esports, and Team Serenity.
