Nottingham Forest has swiftly dismissed manager Ange Postecoglou following a historically brief and winless tenure, coming just minutes after the club’s 0-3 home defeat to Chelsea.
The English Premier League club announced Postecoglou’s immediate departure in a terse statement, citing “a series of disappointing results and performances.” The club added that it would not be making any further comments at this time.
The 60-year-old Australian manager had been in charge for just over a month, having replaced Nuno Espírito Santo. During his brief stint, Forest failed to secure a single victory across eight matches, recording two draws and six losses.
This winless streak marks a record in the club’s history. Postecoglou’s final match saw Forest fall to Chelsea at home.
Nottingham Forest is scheduled to face FC Porto in its upcoming Europa League fixture.
