Nottingham Forest is actively pursuing Fulham manager Marco Silva following the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou, whose 39-day tenure marked the shortest reign for a Premier League coach.
Club owner Evangelos Marinakis is spearheading efforts to secure Silva, who currently manages rival Premier League club Fulham. Silva is under contract with Fulham, which includes a release clause valued at 12 million British Pounds, or approximately $15.2 million USD.
Postecoglou was sacked on Saturday, just over a month after taking the helm from Nuno EspÃrito Santo. His brief period in charge sets an unprecedented record for the shortest managerial stint in the league’s history.
Silva, 48, has been a stabilizing presence at Fulham since joining in 2021. He led the London club to promotion by winning the Championship and subsequently secured their position in England’s top flight. This consistent performance is highly regarded by Nottingham Forest officials as they seek a new direction for their team.
