Kenya: Authorities Uncover Grave of 42 Women in Shocking Serial Killer Case
Authorities in Kenya have made a chilling discovery in their capital city, Nairobi, where nine dismembered bodies were recently found. In a shocking twist, the arrest of a suspect has led to a disturbing confession: the man, identified as Collins Jomaisi Khalisia, has admitted to the murders of 42 women over the past two years.
According to Mohammed Amin, the head of the Criminal Investigations Directorate, Khalisia’s crimes began with the murder of his own wife, whom he strangled, dismembered, and dumped in a garbage dump. The suspect has allegedly confessed to deceiving, murdering, and dumping a total of 42 female bodies, with the most recent killings occurring in the months leading up to his arrest.
Police arrested Khalisia at his home in Kware, where they seized a computer, eight mobile phones, 24 SIM cards, and a machete. The house, located less than a kilometre from the dump where several bodies were found, also contained twelve sacks similar to those used to dump bodies.
Autopsies are currently being carried out on the bodies found at the site, with authorities inviting relatives, civil society members, and journalists to attend the proceedings.
"We are not hiding anything," emphasized Amin. "We are dealing with a psychopathic serial killer who has no respect for human life."
The arrest was made possible thanks to a money transaction made using the phone number of one of the victims. Khalisia was arrested while attempting to attract a new victim, who was invited by detectives to testify in the investigation.
The discovery comes at a tumultuous time for the Kenyan authorities, who are facing scrutiny over allegations of police brutality following the deaths of several protesters during demonstrations against a proposed tax reform.
