Nothing Unveils First Over-Ear Headphones: Unique Design, ANC, Spatial Audio, $299

Nothing has officially launched its first over-ear headphones, stepping into a new category for the tech company. These new headphones carry Nothing’s signature transparent and aluminum design, mirroring the look of their other popular products. For this new venture, Nothing worked with audio specialist KEF on the design. While the features sound familiar, the focus here is clearly on user-friendly design.

The standout feature is a unique ‘Roller’ knob. You can spin it left or right with one finger to turn the volume up or down. A longer press on the Roller switches between noise cancellation and transparent sound modes. Pressing the center of the Roller briefly will pause or play your music. Below this Roller, another button activates an AI mode. One thing to note: the ear cups might feel a bit large and heavy. This could lead to some sweat build-up during long listening sessions.

Under the hood, these headphones pack familiar but solid features for clear audio.

Key Features

  • Noise Cancelling: This real-time system blocks up to 45 decibels of outside sound.
  • Bass Enhancement: It boosts bass for a deeper, richer sound.
  • Spatial Audio: This creates an immersive, surround-sound experience.

For connectivity, the headphones work up to 10 meters away from your device. They support Android phones running version 5.1 or newer, and Apple devices with iOS 13 or later. Charging is done via a USB-C cable, and a full charge takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

The Nothing over-ear headphones will be available for pre-order starting July 4, 2025. They are priced at $299 US dollars.
