‘Not Islam but…’, Yogita Bihani breaks silence on ‘The Kerala Story’ controversy

Actress Yogita Bihani is enjoying the success of her film The Kerala Story. After its release for the last few days, this movie has dominated the box office. However, from the very beginning, there is a controversy regarding ‘The Story of Kerala’. Some people say that this film is propaganda, through which the minority community is targeted. Now Yogita Bihani has given a reaction on this controversy.

During an interview with Free Press Journal, Yogita Bihani said: ‘I agree with Vipul sir that we as a team want everyone to see this film. We want everyone to support him. We have also shown a Christian girl and a Hindu girl in the film. The film must be shown everywhere because the theme itself is like that. Shouldn’t it be about women’s safety instead of protesting and taking sides? Even men are becoming radicalized. This is not Islam but terrorism.

Apart from this, Yogita Bihani also said that she also received death threats but ignored them. She said: ‘I received some threats, but I ignored them, because I don’t want to pay even one percent of attention to them. Many people have my number from the early days, who have worked with me. Everyone was very impressed with our work on the film. My real estate agent saw the movie and called me. My parents and siblings are getting calls for my acting.

‘The Kerala Story’, made under the direction of Sudipto Sen, is known to be the story of 3 girls. It is shown in the film that the girls first convert to religion through brainwashing and are then forced to join the terrorist organization ISIS. Stars like Adah Sharma, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani have acted in this film. This film has grossed 264 crores worldwide.
