At around 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, a 37-year-old man targeted passers-by with a bow and arrows in the town of Kongsberg, in southeast Norway. His murderous journey lasted 30 minutes, before being arrested at 6:47 p.m. Five people died, two were injured. The city was blocked for hours and residents ordered to stay at home.

The individual had converted to Islam and was suspected of radicalization. The investigation continues to shed light on this tragedy. “These terrible acts have been committed. A lot of people are in shock.”, reacted Jonas Gahr Store, the Norwegian Prime Minister. It is the deadliest attack in Norway since 2011, and attacks by far-right activist Anders Breivik killing 77 people.
