In a recent interview with a portal, she spilled the beans on how some actors pay PR agencies to compare other artists unfavorably to her, especially after a dance number. What’s more, she also revealed that she’s judged for her role in movies.
In an interview with BBC Asian Network, Nora Fatehi opened up about how people in the industry perceive her as arrogant, when in reality, she’s just straightforward and speaks her mind. The actress shared that when she wants to appear in films, not just songs, she’s judged for it. According to her, “My point is that everyone should be allowed to do songs and act as well. Everything should be equal for everyone. When I see these songs, you know what I like? The girls who exude confidence, are sexy, and try to perform well. And what I don’t like is that everyone uses my name as a marketing tool.”

Nora further explained how actors pay PR agencies to use her name to market their songs. She said, “That’s why when they want to market a song, they think, let’s compare it to Nora, and I don’t like that. All PR agencies do this. If there’s a new song coming out, they’ll say Nora’s career is over or that she can eat 100 Noras for breakfast.”

Nora added, “I know who’s behind it, and I know how much money you need to pay to do something like that. I also receive many PR packages to persuade me to do the same, but I refuse. I won’t compare myself to anyone or bring someone else down. If a song is going to work, it should be because people appreciate my talent, not because they’re excited to replace someone else. This is really bad.”
