No one spoke a word against Ganguly, big statement that Arun Dhumal will become IPL president

Following the removal of Sourav Ganguly from the post of Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), many kinds of reports are being produced. Some reports claimed that most of the members opposed Ganguly during the board meeting. However, Arun Dhumal, now a former board treasurer and soon-to-be chairman of the Indian Premier League, has called such reports rubbish.

During a conversation with PTI, Dhumal said:After India’s independence, there has been no BCCI President who has served for more than three consecutive years. What is said in the media reports that some members were against Dada is absolutely wrong. No one uttered a word against him. Despite the challenges presented by Corona, everyone was very happy with the way the board was run. We worked as a team.”

After Ganguly’s departure, Roger Binny will become the next president of BCCI. Although the board election will take place on October 18, it is now a formality as no one other than Binny has nominated for the chairperson position. Apart from this, IPL President Brijesh Patel will also be removed and Arun Dhumal will be the new IPL President in his place. Jay Shah will continue to retain his secretary position as before.

Ganguly had also recently given his reaction to being removed from the post of president. He had said that no one can stay in one position forever and now he is going to do something bigger than this.
