No evidence of conspiracy in the Aryan Khan drug case

Weeks after Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was released on bail, the Bombay Supreme Court rules in the drug case. The Supreme Court says no evidence of conspiracy has been found.

The court said no offensive evidence was found in WhatsApp messages between Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

The statement said: “There is little evidence to convince this Court that all the defendants agreed with a common intention to commit an illegal act.”

“That Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were on the same cruise is not in itself a basis for the conspiracy charge.”

The statement also states that the NCB (Office of Narcotics Control) cannot base its case on the alleged confessional statements of the investigating officer, as these are not binding.
