Nissan has joined forces with Chinese manufacturer Dongfeng to produce its first electric sedan, the N7, targeting the Chinese market. Unveiled at the Guangzhou Automobile International Exhibition, the N7 is set to hit the market in the first half of 2025. The N7: A Blend of Innovation and Design

Built on a modular platform developed by Dongfeng Nissan, optimized for electric vehicles, the N7 combines advanced technology and aerodynamic design. This sedan, available in dimensions of 4.9 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width, and a wheelbase of 2.9 meters, offers superior space and comfort, key features that appeal to Chinese consumers driving the transition to electric mobility.

Nissan’s Commitment to Technological Advancements

Nissan focuses on technology as a key differentiator. The N7 features an entertainment system powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor, ensuring a seamless user experience. Moreover, it will have Navigate on Autopilot, an advanced driver assistance technology developed in conjunction with Momenta, a leader in autonomous driving in China.

Market Competition and Opportunities

While the N7’s autonomy and price remain undisclosed, it is expected to be priced similarly to its competitors. To stand out, it must match or exceed the autonomy and performance of rival models. The N7 represents Nissan’s commitment to electrification through its medium-term plan to develop and export new energy vehicles from China.
