Ivica Zubac and Dario Saric, two NBA stars of the Croatian national team, were involved in a fight in an Athens bar in the early hours of the morning after losing to Greece in the Pre-Olympic Games.
Altitude Escalates into a Physical Altercation
According to reports, the altercation began when Clippers center Zubac got into an argument at the Bolivia Beach Bar, a well-known beach bar in Athens, at around 5:30 a.m. Several members of the venue’s security attempted to restrain the NBA player, but the situation quickly escalated.
Saric Intervenes, but Things Take a Turn for the Worse
Nuggets’ new player Saric tried to defend his teammate, but he appeared to be pushed by other members of security. At one point, Saric was thrown to the ground, and the security team attempted to calm Zubac down. In the end, both players were removed from the premises.
Croatian National Team’s Pre-Olympic Journey Ends in Defeat
Zubac and Saric led the Croatian national team in the Pre-Olympic Games in Piraeus, which they hoped would secure a ticket to the Olympic Games. However, after winning two games and losing one, the Croatians were defeated in the final of the tournament by hosts Greece, who thus secured their ticket to the Paris tournament.
