The internal discord comes as Haise faces increasing scrutiny over the team’s performance, which includes four consecutive losses. The most recent defeat was a 5-1 rout by Marseille at Nice’s home stadium.
Nice currently sits in 9th place in France’s Ligue 1 standings.
According to newspaper L’Équipe, one of the primary reasons for player discontent is Haise’s perceived criticism of the team’s talent. This has reportedly strained his relationship with the players.
The mounting pressure on Haise and the squad precedes a critical European fixture. Nice is scheduled to face FC Porto next Thursday in a Europa League match. The club has yet to secure any points in the competition’s group stage.
