Neymar explained on social media why he cried after the foul committed by Thiago Mendes in the final moments of PSG-Lyon, which forced him to leave the pitch on stretcher.
“Crying is about pain, despair, fear, anguish, surgery, crutches and other bad memories …. It could be worse, but, again, God has saved me from something serious. Recover and return as soon as possible”, wrote the Brazilian international, on Instagram.
However, PSG has updated the clinical status of the 28-year-old.
“The clinical and radiological evaluation of Neymar Jr, following the sprain of his left ankle that occurred last night, is reassuring. New exams will be carried out in 48 hours”, can be read on the club’s website.
