Newcop Hits 7 Million Euros in 2024, Expands to Dubai with Fifth Store Opening

With a strong presence in Barcelona, Madrid, and Paris, Spanish company Newcop is celebrating the opening of its fifth establishment, this time in Dubai Mall, the largest shopping center in the world. Born in Barcelona three years ago, Newcop specializes in the sale of limited edition sneakers and has exceeded its objectives, with a turnover of over 7 million euros at the close of 2024.

The Dubai Mall shopping center, which attracts over 100 million visitors annually, has become Newcop’s first base outside the European community since last week, following its international debut in Paris last May. According to David Camprubí, co-founder and CEO of the company, “This move greatly helps us position the brand among the world’s top players. Our goal for this year is to establish these two international openings and boost the growth of our global community.” This community, comprised of sneaker enthusiasts, or “Sneakerheads,” is known for seeking limited edition sneakers or viral editions from top brands like Adidas, Nike, Yeezy, Asics, or New Balance, which often sell out quickly in conventional stores.

Newcop, which was founded in Barcelona in 2022, is also celebrating another record in its successful trajectory. By offering a premium purchase experience both online and in-person, it has become the first resale chain with a presence in Europe and the UAE. The company trusts that physical stores and international expansion are key growth strategies. For instance, the Paris store has exceeded one million euros in sales during its first eight months of operation, with around 4,500 orders.

A more open market of enormous potential

Newcop’s main client base ranges between 16 and 35 years old and is no longer dominated by a single sex, thanks to the rise of feminine models like Adidas’ Samba or Gazelle. While e-commerce sales are primarily from Spanish customers, accounting for 92%, national stores record 60% of foreign clients, largely due to their central and tourist-friendly locations. The purchasing level has also become more accessible, with Camprubí noting, “When we started, it was quite a niche, but this last year it has opened up significantly thanks to the drop in the average ticket, now 230 euros, with many references available for 150 euros and the option of payment in installments without interest.”

After carefully selecting models that stand out for their originality and ability to set trends, Newcop submits each shoe and garment to a meticulous authenticity study. This has made the company an essential reference point for staying on top of the latest trends. As Camprubí explains, “We like to think that we create an experience that connects with the very essence of urban culture. Our mission is to bring the most iconic and exclusive pieces to the global streetwear community, building a platform where authenticity, passion, and creativity converge.”

Also a reference in Streetwear

In its quest to become the main meeting point for streetwear enthusiasts, Newcop offers a curated selection of clothing from top international urban fashion brands such as SP5der, Denim Tears, Stussy, Fakegods, Yuxus, Essentials, or Supreme, among others. The company’s catalog has recently expanded with the introduction of its own line, comprising four sweatshirt models and five minimalist t-shirt designs that blend vintage and urban styles, incorporating fun messages like “Forget about the nudes and talk about sneakers” or “Buying sneakers is cheaper than going to therapy.” In addition to the fixed collection, the line will grow regularly through exclusive Dropps, which have been warmly received by the brand’s followers.
