Newcastle United are stepping up their efforts in the race to sign talented Juventus winger Matias Soule, who is also being closely watched by Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace.
Soule, a 20-year-old right winger with experience in the academy of Argentine club Vélez, joined Juventus in 2020 and has proven to be an up-and-coming young player. The young player made his debut with Juventus in November 2021 by participating in the Argentina U-20 team and then went on loan to Frosinone to gain experience.
Soulé, Newcastle’s wish
During his current loan spell at Frosinone, Soule has shone with six goals and one assist in 15 games, cementing his reputation as one of Europe’s rising young stars. Big name teams such as Tottenham have shown interest in signing the Argentine, but Newcastle United have gained confidence in their ability to secure his signing.
Although Tottenham are planning a double bid for Soule and teammate Samuel Iling-Junior in January, Newcastle United are considered favorites to complete the deal. Juventus are increasingly leaning towards selling the talented winger and Newcastle are aware of this situation.
The price set by Juventus for Soule is €25 million, a significant figure but one that could be worth it given the player’s forecast. Newcastle, close to their Financial Fair Play limit, could be looking for a shrewd deal that would see Soule stay on loan at Frosinone until the end of the season before moving to St James’ Park next summer.
With Soule in their sights, Newcastle United are looking to strengthen their squad with young talent and remain competitive in the Premier League. Competition to sign the Argentine is heating up, but the English club are determined to be a serious contender in the race for Matías Soule.
