Although Galatasaray have shown interest in Van de Beek, journalist Ekrem Konur reveals that Newcastle have also expressed interest in the midfielder. The Eddie Howe-managed Magpies are looking to strengthen their midfield, especially with key players such as Sandro Tonali, Elliot Anderson, Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock missing for various reasons.

Van de Beek, who has had limited action for Manchester United this season, has been identified as a possible reinforcement for Howe’s team. The 26-year-old, who has struggled to make a name for himself at Old Trafford since arriving in 2020, has expressed his desire to play more regularly in a bid to revive his career.

With 41 goals and 34 assists in 175 appearances for Ajax before moving to Manchester United, Van de Beek was considered an exciting addition but failed to perform as expected in England. Although he was on the bench for the game against Everton, there was speculation about his possible departure in January.

Newcastle, who pulled off a shock 4-1 win over Chelsea, are looking to strengthen their squad and Van de Beek could be a valuable addition to the midfield. With multiple options in midfield, Manchester United could be willing to let the player go in the right offer, especially considering key players recovered from injury in January. The winter transfer window could be the perfect opportunity for Van de Beek to look for a new stage in his career.
