Pakistan Cricket Team Gets New Selection Committee After Poor Performance in T20 World Cup 2024
After the disappointing performance of the Pakistan cricket team under the captaincy of Babar Azam in the T20 World Cup 2024, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started taking steps to improve the team. As a result, the PCB has announced a new selection committee to select the team for the Test series against Bangladesh.
Wahab Riaz and Razzaq Ousted, New Members Take Charge
The new National Selection Committee consists of former players Mohammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq, along with the coach of the limited overs team, the captain, the coach, and captain of the test team. Additionally, five other members have been selected, including Pakistan team’s assistant coach Azhar Mahmood, Bilal Afzal, who was part of the previous selection committee, Nadeem Khan, Director of High Performance, Usman Wahala, Director of International Cricket, and Hasan Cheema, Director of Management Analytics.
New Committee to Select Team for Test Series Against Bangladesh
The new selection committee will select the team for the Test series against Bangladesh, which will tour Pakistan next month. Earlier, the PCB had decided to retain Shan Masood as the Test captain, while it will decide later whether to retain Babar Azam as the captain or not.
