New guidelines issued for those coming and going from Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: The Saudi Civil Aviation Department has announced an amendment to the rules for air travelers to curb the spread of the corona virus.

According to interest media, the department has informed all airports and airlines about the new guidelines, including Corona SOPs.

The department has said that all Saudi travelers leaving Saudi Arabia who have had their second dose for three months need a booster dose.

Exemption will be for children under the age of 16 or for those who have been granted immunity in Tawakalna, the department said, adding that all travelers coming to Saudi Arabia, whether they are Saudi nationals or foreigners, and in Tawakalna Whatever their status, PCR test is required.

This PCR was taken 48 hours before the trip. Only children under the age of 8 will be exempt. Upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, according to the regulations, children under the age of 8 will be examined.

The department has said that citizens coming from abroad who have contracted corona abroad will be exempted from the PCR test as per the rules laid down.

The first of these regulations is that those who have taken all the Corona doses will not be required to undergo PCR if they have been exposed to Corona for 7 days.

The second rule is that those who have not completed Corona doses and have been in Corona for 10 days will not be required to undergo PCR, the department said, adding that the aforesaid decision will be effective from Wednesday, February 9. It will be from one o’clock at night.
