God of War rumors are heating up.
A recent tweet from MysticMsa3d claims that Shpeshal_Nick, co-founder of XboxEra.com, shared some inside info.
Apparently, the new God of War game will be a Metroidvania-style game set in ancient Greece.
It’ll feature Deimos, Kratos’ brother, as the main character.
What we know so far

According to ResetEra, Deimos’ story will take place before Kratos became the God of War.
The game is said to be inspired by Blasphemous, a 2D Metroidvania game from The Game Kitchen.
A tweet from MysticMsa3d reads: “Holding this for 3 weeks was hard. Hopefully, God of War Metriodvania is at the PlayStation State of Play.”
An image from God of War Ragnarok has been making the rounds online, but it’s unclear if it’s related to the new game.
Keep in mind that none of this is official – yet. We’ll have to wait and see if the rumors are true.
